About the author

Upper Case prefers Yewper when the conversation is friendly. He is a fictional poet with a notebook, a troublesome knee and an interest in things that other people might walk past. He hopes his poems will travel farther than he can and, occasionally, bring another poet back for a conversation. Yewper was created by John Anthony Brown as a demonstration author for The Blue•Print. His collection, A Poet’s Intimate Creative Awakening, provides a working example of developing a book from early drafts through editing, presentation and preparation for publication. John directs the project, develops the character and selects, reviews and edits the material. AI assistance has contributed to drafting the poems and supporting text. Yewper’s biography and experiences are fictional. Through this project, John is exploring ways to help people gather and share their creative work, including those who benefit from assistance with writing or technology. Future collaborations may bring independently credited artists and other creators into the collection. As for Yewper, he would probably say that is quite enough about the author. There is tea to make, and he has thought of a better word for the third line.
